Hopefully you have noticed already that Goggle Adsense has a new interface available for you. I really like the improvements after thumbing around on it for a while. I did take some time out to view the Adsense tour videos on the Inside Adsense Youtube channel. In the videos they tell you what has changed and the videos and other tutorials. You really should watch these. I have added the story video below behind building the new AdSense interface.

Google Alphabet Features Just Large Companies?
The new Google Instant that we posted about yesterday continues to create quite a buzz across several blogs and webmaster forums I have been reading on. One of the most interesting things I came across today is the The Google Alphabet post on the Wall Street Journal. It points out by typing in each letter of the alphabet typing each letter of the alphabet into Google that the top results included a lot of marketers. Not really too surprising in itself, but of course in the post on Adage, you can see that several readers posted what they were seeing in their area and of course the results are different across a large selection, which is nothing new. I would expect the large companies to show up being as they are probably searched for quite a bit, but also get heavier weight if they advertise or convert well Adsense or Adwords wise. Remember that Google is a for profit company.
Also to send you another direction, go to Twitter and search for Google Instant SEO. Tons of good and not so good reading. Lots of conspiracy theories as well.

Don't Be Afraid to Market To Demographics
We all have multiple interest and are not just solely focused or intrigued by one lone subject. Google Adsense has made a living out of showing ads to us based on what we have been searching for in our history. Even if I am on DVD site looking at Sienfield TV series DVDs and was looking at antique knives earlier in the day, I might be shown Adsense ads for knives on the DVD site. Raise your hand if something similar has happened to you. You are not limited to just your niche when advertising. If you do not want to use Adsense type ads, then show ads that are targeted to your niche demographic in addition to your niche specific ads. It gives your surfer an out and also one more chance to convert them if they do indeed do not find anything on site to buy or are merely kicking tires. Neverblue Ads affiliate program has a large selection of CPA advertisers products and services that you can match demographics to. Use your creativity as well. Always be thinking of what the perfect demographic of a surfer to your site is and always be looking to find ways to market to them outside of whatever specific niche you are in. Every surfer has a hot button, it is our job to try to push it however we can when they land on a page on our site. Do not be afraid to try new things with them.

Google Adsense & Google Gmail News
There have been a few new news items surface in relation to both Google Adsense and Google Gmail you might be interested to hear about. First with Adsense, Google has now announced a revamped design of three of their AdSense for content ad units. The 3 sizes being revamped are (728x90)(300x250) & (336x280). I can't wait to try the new 728x90 layout in the Socrates Wordpress Theme Monetization Bar as I have recently built a few new sites using that easy to customize Wordpress theme.
As far as the Gmail news, if you use multiple Gmail accounts like I do, you can take advantage of the new Multiple sign-in feature in your Google Accounts dashboard. After you sign into your first account, you can sign in with up to two additional accounts from the new accounts menu in the upper right hand corner of Gmail, then easily toggle back and forth between them. You can even open multiple Gmail tabs — one for each of your accounts. This might not sound like a huge deal, but every second counts in my work day.

Free Word Bank Clickbank Ads Wordpress Plugin
I ran across a Wordpress plugin called Word Bank Ads last night that allows you to show ClickBank ads on your blog with an Adsense style, you can change the ads in any way you want so they suit your blog, this plugin is 100% Free and comes with a huge amount of features and options that takes seconds to setup and use. There is a Premium option as well, but I have not bought it yet. This plugin is not for every niche of course, but you would be amazed at the products that might be on Clickbank related to your niche. You just have to dig around for them. I only have one days use on one site, so I do not have much to give you as far as information that it does indeed function properly and is indeed free. Everyone likes free, right?

Make Your Google Adsense Earnings Even Better
Making money with Google Adsense is one of the easiest way to earn money online. It is a great place for newbies to start, in order to see how affiliate marketing works without worrying about actually converting a surfer to buy. Some sites and niches are just made for adsense as well. SEO chat just did a great post on Increasing Your Google AdSense Revenue. The post details how to increase your AdSense revenue, blocking irrelevant Google AdSense ads and identifying high AdSense potential websites in your channels. They go into detail on the Adsense Page CTR and Page eCPM as well.
On another note, if you are new to using and learning Wordpress, I have exciting news you will surely want to check out on Tuesday.

Adsense & Chitka Ad Unit Placement Guide
You ever have one of those days when you are making so much progress you do not want to stop and even go to the bathroom? Today is that day for me. I am getting a ton done today, but wanted to stop and point everyone to a free ebook released called Adsense & Chitka Ad Unit Placement Guide. I have used Adsense forever and it has always been a huge earner for me. Even when most bailed on it, I never stopped and never understand or faced the problems others had. You have seen me post a bunch about Chitka as well. They have crawled into my top 10 as far as income producers now and using Adsense and Chitika hand in hand has been lucrative for me. Enjoy the reading.

Made For Adsense Back In Vogue
OK, not really, but I get a kick out of how everyone turns on a dime. People used to swear Adsense was the devil and should not be used. Others said it would keep your BANS site from ranking well or will get you de-indexed. Others said it would take away from your eBay earnings. Yada, yada, yada. People, Adsense never went anywhere, I have consistently used Adsense from day one of signing up many years ago. Never dumped them, never had a problem with them.
A brief history of MFA sites (Made For Adsense), people used to scrape content, build sites with duplicate content and throw up Adsense banners. Other times they would spin content where it was very hard to read and offered no value to the reader. They would quickly get these sites a slew of backlinks in link directories and rise quickly in ranking to Spam up the SERPS. People made a ton of quick cash with these, but Google quickly caught on. If the sites did not get de-indexed, the Adsense account usually got terminated. These sites had zero value to the surfer.
Fast forward to now. Regardless of what you use to monetize your sites with, your site must have value of some sorts. Especially if you intend to try to rank in the SERPS. If your site is full of great content, feel free to monetize with Adsense only. If you want to monetize with just Amazon, monetize just with Amazon. If you feel EPN is cheating you, dump them. If you think Adsense is the devil, dump them too. The bottom line is the bottom line, however I think many quickly jump ship on programs without first looking at their traffic and where it comes from and where it goes. If you do not trust a program, you will not promote it properly. Your subconscious will not let you.
In closing, great niche sites can make money regardless of the way you monetize them. Many over think this whole process. Build a great site, monetize it, promote it, cash the checks. It really is that simply. Made For Adsense is not a bad term, it just depends on what is being used as content and if it is built with the surfer in mind first.
I am off to finish my new Made For Chitika site! LOL, remember you heard that term here first.

Changing The Google Adsense Ads In Wordpress Ads Theme Template
To continue on with editing the Wordpress Ads Theme Template, we will address the Adsense ads that are scattered throughout the template. There are 5 files that need editing. I have listed the 5 files below that need the default Adsense of the creator changed to your own ad. Listed next to the file name is the size ad that you need to replace it with. 4 files use the 468x60 size ad and one uses the 160x600 size add. You can edit all of these files in your Wordpress dashboard by clicking Appearance and then Editor and the the matching file on the left hand side. These is a very easy process and should not take you more than 30 minutes at most.

Apicture Aparagragh And Adsense
Like my play on the Awords? LOL! Can you really make money with just Apicture, Aparagragh and Adsense? Of course you can. Without pointing out any of my own sites, I will point you to one by Michelle MacPhearson called Cool Tattoos. Now this is a Wordpress setup using the Photo Dropper plugin. Not too fancy of a site, but I guarantee you it does well in Adsense earnings. Of course she has built a ton of backlinks using her 30 minute backlinks program, but a site like this is easy to do and keep updated daily. Just Google "Cool Tattoos". You can easily do this with a free Blogger blog as well, minus the plugin of course and about 10 minutes a day worth of work.

Switching My BANS Sites Into Made For Adsense Sites & Link Farms
I have been doing some serious research on the old Made For Adsense Sites and Link Farms business structure and the more I research it, the more it makes sense. Thus the name Adsense. Even though it may violate copyright law, it is much easier to scrape content and surround it with Google Adsense ads. This takes a ton less work and I would not have to worry about writing any more engaging unique content. The whole goal is to get web visitors to the website for the sole purpose of clicking on advertisements anyway. I can build a few link farms which will be a giant group of web sites that all link to every other site in the farm. I can create these as well through automated programs. Then I just link up my Made For Adsense Sites to these Link Farms and I have a totally automated system that just makes cents!!! These old formulas are probably not even policed by Google any longer because they are so old fashioned. In fact, Google co-founder Larry Page, recently made a blog post about how they do not even account for link farms and Made For Adsense Sites any longer. I have a busy day in front of me now. I have seen the light!!! :)

Adsense Privacy Policy Update Must Be Done By April 8th
Not sure how strict they will be on this, but Google Adsense is wanting the privacy policy on your site updated by April 8th to reflect the new DoubleClick DART cookie used by Google in the ads. Hopefully a Wordpress plugin or stock privacy policy will be released soon as if you are like me, need to update quite a few sites.

Google Adsense Offers New Fonts
Google has now reported that Google Adsense publishers will have even more control over the look of the Adsense ads showing on their sites. Adsense publishers can now select the font of text to show in the ad units in pages. Font choices include Arial, Times and Verdana. There are two different ways now for Adsense publishers to set their own fonts. One choice is to set a custom font as the default font for all Adsense content units within the Ad Display Preference section of the account settings page. The other choice is to set a custom font for individual units for individual pages. When you create new adsense unit, all that is needed is to select the type font you want from the fonts drop-down menu. If you change the default font for all Adsense units it will affect all ad units on all of your websites.

Best Performing Adsense Ad Size?
Staying on the Google Adsense theme this week, I came across a great little post on the Webmaster Magazine site, discussing the best performing Adsense ad types. According to Google, they suggests that the wider ad formats tend to outperform their taller ads. The wider formatted ads enable the surfer to read more text at a single glance without needing to skip a line and return to the left margin every few words as they would probably do with a narrower ad. The most effective ad formats according to Google, are the 336x280 Large Rectangle, the 300x250 Medium Rectangle, and the 160x600 Wide Skyscraper. As always you should test what works and looks best on your site.

Protect Your Adsense Account
Sometimes evil people do evil things. Mostly it is caused by jealousy or plain out evilness. Some people will try to get others Adsense accounts terminated by using their publisher code. To avoid others from doing this, log into your Adsense account and click AdSense Setup and then click Allowed Sites. From there, you can choose the second option that reads....
Then enter in ALL of your domains that have permission to run Adsense and click Save Changes at the bottom. Now only those allowed sites will be able to use your Adsense publisher ID number.
Only allow certain sites to show ads for my account
In the field provided, list URLs of sites you want to show your ads. Then click "Save changes". If you put your ad code on a page not on this list, ads will still show, but impressions and clicks will not be recorded.
Then enter in ALL of your domains that have permission to run Adsense and click Save Changes at the bottom. Now only those allowed sites will be able to use your Adsense publisher ID number.

Monetize Those Parked Domains With Adsense
If you have some parked domains that you have yet to get to to develop, you might want to consider the Adsense for Domains program being offered by Google. Here is the AdSense for Domains Program Policies that are held to strict compliance. Adsense is also starting to crack down on new publishers as well. This is an effort to crack down on the spammers and the old Made for Adsense sites. I would not rely heavily on the program, but it may pick you up a couple of quarters along the way until you are ready to further develop the domain into a full fledged site.

How I Like To Use Adsense On BANS Sites
While Adsense ads are often debated about on their effectiveness on Build A Niche Stores, I still have a great deal of success with them when I use them. Primarily I like to use them on pages that are highly niche keyword driven and prefer to match the color scheme of the ads to the the color scheme of my site. By doing this it looks a little less adsensy (is that a word?). They tend to look more like text links then they do ads. As I have said in numerous other post, I do not really try to hide the fact that I am an eBay affiliate and list auctions on my site. That said, some people just do not like eBay for some reason or another. My adsense ads give me another chance to monetize my surfers. A quick test run of a week or so will let you know if you are making pennies or are making quarters or even dollars per click. If you are only making a few pennies, then see about searching out some longer tail keywords and adding them to the page in the form of unique content. Surprisingly you might find that you can increase the earnings per click if you fall into a competitive long tail phrase. Once again, Adsense might not be right for every BANS site, but overall I think you can find that it can produce a sizable income stream if done right and effectively.

Ads On Your Build A Niche Stores
This post will be agreed with by many and disagreed with by many as well. Let me start off with a real life personal story. My own father WILL NOT buy anything off of eBay. He just does not trust it from whatever circle of influence he might of formed that opinion on, I do not know. I have told him time and time again how and what to look for when shopping eBay with no avail. I have tracked his surfing for a week on his computer (with his knowledge of doing so) and noticed he does click on ads and has indeed purchased from other companies online via an affiliate ad. You have to face the facts that there are people out there like that. That is why on some of my BANS stores I try to place ads from other advertisers that sell the same niche items I am promoting. I want to try to produce some income from EVERY surfer that visits one of my stores. With the emergence of Pepperjam, it has opened up a bigger outlet of net advertisers. When you combine Pepperjam with Commission Junction, Linkshare, Google Adsense and a few other ad network sites, there is no reason you should not be able to find an affiliate program that sells products related to your niche. If you have built your store right, you have promised the surfer they will find what they are looking for by coming to your store so make sure to give them as many options as possible and funnel the surfer to where they want to go.

Chewbacca Defense & Google Adsense
I have been bombarded with questions lately on my thoughts about Google adsense on Build A Niche Store sites and if it will get your store de-indexed. I can speak from my experiences that as of right now I have had absolutely no problem running Google adsense ads on some of my BANS stores. This as Johnnie Cochran would say, "Does not make sense!" There are a ton of things that will get de-indexed on Google and I have a hard time pinning it on Google adsense ads as the culprit. If your BANS store is an out of the box store with little or no content on a standard or only slightly modified template, then yes, Google could de-index you for being a thin affiliate site. If you are adding unique content and not leaving default meta tags and navigation titles on the site, I truly do not believe you have anything to worry about. I do think people need to start slowly stepping away from the default BANS templates in the near future as not to be so recognizable. I sell templates and so do several other sites. Make sure if you do purchase templates elsewhere that they still do not closely resemble a regular template and also make sure that you are not just buying a fancy background image as a substitute for a template. It is time to start being unique with your sites. I still have some stores that use BANS original templates and have no plans right now on altering them. I just now choose to have newer stores look more unique. If you have a certain template you would like modified you can contact me and I will be glad to quote you an affordable price. So do not freak out on adsense and also have uniqueness in the back of your mind going forward with your niche store building. Here is more info on the Chewbacca defense.
The term Chewbacca defense is used to refer to any legal strategy or propaganda strategy that seeks to overwhelm its audience or jury with nonsensical arguments, as a way of confusing the audience and drowning out legitimate opposing arguments.
Chewbacca Defense originated in the animated series South Park. The show satirized attorney Johnnie Cochran's closing argument defending O.J. Simpson in his murder trial.

99 Build A Niche Stores On The Wall
Kind of a catchy title, is it not? Lets look at the dynamics of it and break it down into bite size digestible numbers. Let's be modest and humble that every Niche Store you build will earn $300.00 in a year in commissions. That's right ONLY $300.00 a year for a $7.15 domain name. Let's break it down even further. That's $5.77 a week. Even smaller, $.83 a day. Will some stores earn more? Of course, some much more. Some a little less. Now lets multiple it out by 99. That's $29,700 a year. Now can you build 99 stores a year? Perhaps not! But once again the more you build the better you will get, the more you will see what works and what doesn't work. It took a good 20 stores for myself, before the light came on in my feeble head. Now surly through EPN and Google Adsense you can get a store earning an average of $.83 a day. Right? The society we live in breeds instantaneous results. You have to be long sighted in this business. Put the blinders on and build and promote, build a promote.
