Benefits Of Ranking Your Article On Ezine Articles
Hearkening back on the article marketing kick again, there are some great benefits to ranking your article submission on Ezine Articles. By building backlinks to the article and getting the article to rank well it will of course get clicks if it is ranking well in the SERPS. Those clicks equal page views on the Ezine Articles site and the more page views the more likely the article will rank in the "Most Viewed EzineArticles" in whatever category you are listed in. This in turn will cause the actual article itself to develop a ton of internal backlinks from within the Ezine Articles site that will in turn usually develop into a page rank of 3 or higher for that page. That page rank will then flow into your own niche site you hopefully have listed in the bio section of the article. I have seen some newer niche sites of my own develop some good page rank very quick by using this very process. The page rank then translate into some authority making it easier for my own site to rank.

The great thing about the Free Traffic System is that you can add links to your homepage/store/blog and also to other articles around the net that you want to rank for too!

Ok, I have a basic and simplistic question, but something I've wondered often. Say you have a blog tied to a niche site. Obviously new content about your niche can go on your blog, but when does it make sense to take new content and put it into a article that is submited to directories instead? Which give you more SERP juice (assuming you're ok keeping it off your blog and away from readers)?

I use the meat and potatoes real solid articles on my own site. The articles that get submitted to directories are more general and teaser in nature.
If a person is limited on time and does not have the funds to outsource article writing, I would rather see the person post the one article they do have time to write on their own site.
Article marketing is not a MUST to succeed, it is a tool and a source of a backlink, however it is easier to rank an article on an article site versus a new site you might own as the directories have built in authority.
One could post all content on their own site if they so chose to and build backlinks over time just the same.

I like this idea, but not sure were to get backlinks for ezinearticles. It does not make sense for directory submissions. What do you suggest as places for backlinks to ezinearticles.
Brent, for starters I suggest the FTS program I have been talking about. Backlinks are all around you, just open your eyes a bit wider.
