New Version Of PHPZon Coming Soon

Just a heads of that the new version of PHPZon will be released any day and I suggest buying a license before the price goes up. At this time you need to own PHPBay to order PHPZon, but both are fantastic and well needed Wordpress plugins. PHPZon gives you the ability to show Amazon products much in the same way the PHPBay plugin displays ebay items. I have been using the Amazon plugin for some time now and love it. It gives me flexibility to show my surfers products other than eBay items. You will not be disappointed.

Easy Contact Form

As many of you have seen in the last post, I have new contact form for this blog. I have been meaning to post a contact form on this blog for a while, but for one reason or another, just have not gotten around to scratching this off my list. Although I have posted my email on this blog numerous times, people still have a hard time getting questions to me and end up just sending me a private message on the BANS forum. In a mere few hours since posting the new form, I have had several asking where I got the form and how I made it work on Blogspot blogs.

The form comes from Kontactr and can be integrated into any site, even a BANS site. To make it work in Blogger Blogspot blogs, you simply need to remove the line breaks and paragraph breaks using the text tool I posted about a while ago. So simple it will take you all of 5 minutes to do.

Are You Using Today?

Authority sites that can be used to rank an article and funnel traffic to your BANS site or niche site should not be ignored. The latest gem is Today.com. This is a site you can host a blog on and earn money as well. The best thing about it is that it has authority and articles or blog post can be ranked in Google very easily. I did a test by merely re-posting an article from another site of mine on Today.com and the page now ranks for it's target phrase on page 1 of Google in the number 5 position. No backlinks or anything. If you have used Wordpress before, getting around Today will be a breeze. You can have a site up and running in 15 minutes flat. They have some tutorials as well if you are new to the platform. You earn money from them via Rev Share on Products, Flat Rate for Traffic (CPM) and are Paid Monthly via Paypal.

Marketing via authority sites is great practice for veterans and newbies alike. It is a great way to rank quickly and also build traffic to your own site. Get going today with Today.

When Competition Attacks

I received a frantic email from a BANS user who found another new BANS site in the same micro niche that he was in and wondered what he should do. What you do is out work the other site. Just because you are in a hidden away micro niche does not mean that others will not find it and try to exploit it. That is the way business works. The email went on to say that they thought that the new site owner was following his progress and modeled the site similar to his. This very well could be the case, I see several similar sites to my micro niches all the time. Some have even ripped my content as well. Does it hurt me? No, as they never out rank me. It is important to watch for competition, but it is healthy at the same time. Just do what it takes to build a great site and master the niche and let the other things roll off you. Build more backlinks, write better content and fully engage the surfer, those are things that your competition is unlikely to do. Anyone can copy a site, but not everyone can rank it or drive traffic to it.

Do Not Ignore Your Stats

Stats can really tell you a ton about your site. They let you know where the surfer is coming from, what keywords they used to find you in the search engines, what part of the world they live in, how long they stayed on your site and where the exited your site from. Google analytics is over most newbies head, but in the mean time, you can use either statscounter or sitemeter to get a better hold of your traffic. Both of these stats trackers are free and easy to implement into your site. Google analytics is a little more challenging, but can offer up a ton of information about your surfer and I highly suggest you get a grip on it as soon as possible.

I really tend to focus on where the surfer came from and where they exited the site. This lets me better tailor pages for what a surfer is looking for. There are plenty of free videos on Youtube for all of these stats programs if you need to study up more on them. Stats are an integral part of your business and should not be treated lightly.

The Social Media Train Has Left The Station

Social media is hotter than ever and has been for a while. If you have not been utilizing it, you are WAY behind. It is a very effective way to drive traffic and link bait for backlinks. You need to learn how to leverage the Social media sites in your favor. Joel Comm has a great workshop for this at the link below.

http://www.twitterpower.com/workshop/

I highly suggest you research social media marketing as I will be dedicating more time to it myself in future post.

Convert Your Foreign Traffic With Geo BANS

If you are a BANS user, you might want to pay close attention. Whatever country you are in, you are likely getting some form of foreign traffic. Depending on what niche you are in, you might get more in one niche versus the other. If you have a US store for example, you are likely only showing US eBay ads and if you get a UK surfer, odds are you will not be converting them via EPN. BANS user Tao has a great fix for this problem and it is called GEO BANS. In just a few easy steps, you can have your BANS store Geo target ads from different eBay platforms for whatever country your surfer hails from. This will give you a greater chance at converting the foreign surfer. Tao has addressed all 248 possible countries that can be detected and assigned them all to their nearest eBay country listings. For the price of a couple of pizzas, this mod will pay for itself in no time flat.

I have personally tried this out myself and notice a difference in more earnings, all from foreign surfers I was missing converting before. I have seen the benefits first hand on geo targeting my traffic and i think you will as well.

Here is a PDF on the complete rundown of GEO BANS. Tell Tao I sent you when you order.

365 Days From Now

I get emails everyday from frustrated online marketers. Most are making little or no money and lose belief in the fact that they can indeed make money. I have been replying lately with a canned response asking them to send me a detailed report of the site or sites they are working on along with ways they are getting backlinks, targeted keywords, SEO work they have done and content they have added among other things. I do this to see exactly where they are at, so I can quickly offer advise on what I think needs improvement. 99% of the time I get no response back or a one paragraph reply with not much work detailed. The business of making money online takes work, lots of it. The sooner you accept that, the sooner you can get started.

Many of you out there already know what is needed, you just fail to do it or anything for that matter. If you started applying yourself everyday or every waking hour you do have available, 365 days from today you will be in a much better place. Make today, day one. Detail everything you do. Everything!!! Merely throwing up a half targeted site with a few pages of unique content and getting a handful of backlinks is not enough. Concentrate on one site and do not leave it's side until it is making you $25.00 - $50.00 a day consistently. Immerse yourself in that site, every waking hour a day possible and detail everything in one way, shape or form. Make the decision to work and get on with it.

Learn To Rank One Site First

The lure of opening so many niche stores with the ease of BANS or PHPBay is one that can get you frustrated in a hurry. I bought that T-shirt many years ago. It wasn't until I learned how to rank a site and understand how organic traffic is acquired that the big money started to be made. It is so easy to just start a new niche store instead of trying to rank a current one and it is a deadly trap. You have to focus on getting one site to rank, before you can expect other sites to rank. Is it fast and easy? No, but it is quite attainable if you read thoroughly through this blog or several others.

If you have a ton of sites merely getting trickle organic traffic or low volume keyword traffic, pick one that is dearest to your heart and focus on it until you rank in the top 3 listings on page one of Google. Once you obtain that, then you can look at your traffic and documented work you have done on both onsite and off to help focus on your next site you want to rank. The ranking learning curve is great, but very very achievable. The easiest task as I have mentioned over the last month is ranking an article on GoArticles or EzineArticles. Although you do not have privy to the stats portion of those pages, you can use rank checking tools to see what you are ranking for.

Until you see it in action for yourself, only then will you FULLY understand the process and the giant light bulb will turn on.

BBPress Wordpress Forum Plugin Software

I was introduced today to the free BBPress Wordpress Forum plugin while cruising the JenSense forum. This is a much lighter and newbie friendly forum plugin for Wordpress. If you are not wanting to take the plunge into the Simple Press Message Board Plugin, I highly suggest you give this one a go. It is much easier to get going and has a great readability to it as well. Busy forums are hard to get started and populated at first, but can provide a great engaged surfer community once the word gets out about it.

Another Useful Article Spinning Tool

If you have been using the Free Traffic System (and you really should be), you know how tough it is to format an article to be spun even with the great free tool they offer. BANS user Taoski alerted me to a great tool to format your spinning. It is called Cre Writer. Once you have your finished spin using this tool, simply copy and paste into notepad and do a find and replace of both of the { } tags with the [spin] [/spin] tags and you are ready to submit it to FTS.

On another note, I see where a few people have submitted well over a 100 articles to FTS. I surely hope these people are using there own articles and spinning them thoroughly to fully take advantage of the system. I have a feeling that they are not, but that is how it goes sometimes. For the rest of you, take the time to spin the articles properly and thoroughly and it will help everyone involved in the long run.

Also, as good as the FTS is, I surely hope it isn't your only backlink building system. You need a multitude of types of backlinks in your arsenal and putting all of your eggs in one basket has the makings of a huge let down.

Benefits Of Ranking Your Article On Ezine Articles

Hearkening back on the article marketing kick again, there are some great benefits to ranking your article submission on Ezine Articles. By building backlinks to the article and getting the article to rank well it will of course get clicks if it is ranking well in the SERPS. Those clicks equal page views on the Ezine Articles site and the more page views the more likely the article will rank in the "Most Viewed EzineArticles" in whatever category you are listed in. This in turn will cause the actual article itself to develop a ton of internal backlinks from within the Ezine Articles site that will in turn usually develop into a page rank of 3 or higher for that page. That page rank will then flow into your own niche site you hopefully have listed in the bio section of the article. I have seen some newer niche sites of my own develop some good page rank very quick by using this very process. The page rank then translate into some authority making it easier for my own site to rank.

Susan Boyle Should Inspire All Of You

I kept wondering who was Susan Boyle and what all the buzz was about. I do not watch much TV, especially not any of the reality TV shows, but I kept getting the link to the Youtube video in my email so I finally watched it. It goes to show that there is something special in each and every one of us and if you set your mind at something you can achieve it or get closer to it with more and more work. From newbie to veteran niche site builder, we all have higher levels we can achieve if we only apply ourselves more. If you are struggling in this business, you should use the Susan Boyle video as a pump you up rallying cry. Keep learning and applying yourself towards your goal and your income and success will rise. I tip my hat to the Susan Boyle's all over the world, keep your head up and keep pushing onward. Do not let anything stand in between you and your dream.

When In Doubt Just Add Some Content

Adding content to your site is one of the best things you can do, when you are in a lull. it gets your creative juices flowing and is very beneficial for your site. The more LSI and keyword driven the better, but even just a news recap or quick tidbit in a blog post can go a long way. In my opinion, you can never have TOO MUCH content. You never know when it might pull in an organic visitor or two from the SERPS. I get a few emails every now and again from people who say they are stuck and stagnant and ask what they should do. I usually look at there site to find that ii is very thin content wise and reply to tell them to write and add some content.

Use Nofollow When Needed On External Links

Yesterday I referenced bad habits! A bad habit I have is getting in a hurry with out going links that need to be nofollowed like affiliate links. There is really no reason to share the link juice and vouch for affiliate links. Plus you can better redirect that link juice to other sites or internal as well. To nofollow a link is simple. All you do is add:

rel="nofollow"

to the end of the link. So a nofollow outgoing link to Yahoo would look this below:

<a href="http://www.yahoo.com/" rel="nofollow">Yahoo</a>

Creating Good Habits Is Just As Easy As Starting Bad Habits

I am a very habitual person and I am a champion at creating habits, mostly bad ones, but I do understand how habits are formed and can start good ones just the same. Repetition is the key with creating any habit and usually takes doing something 21 straight days before it becomes a habit. When I started this blog, I knew I needed to post 21 straight days before I became devoted to it. Making a daily post is something that I HAVE TO DO now, daily.

Creating good habits in the business will allow you to get more done in a shorter period of time as well, mainly because you will feel a need to do the task. Whether it is building 5 backlinks a day, writing blog post or articles, you really need to force yourself to do the task 21 days straight, after that it will be ingrained in you. I am as structured as one comes and can break bad habits very easily, the problem is that some of them I do not want to break an example being coffee and cigarettes. I enjoy these two things immensely as I like the feeling they give me. My good habits make me feel good as well. So get started on creating some good habits today, you will be glad you did.

A Spinning Example

A few more people have emailed me about how to spin an article for the Free Traffic System, so I have a few examples below.

Let me notate once again how much I hate spinning and how unprofessional it is. If you are going to spin at least spin them VERY good and readable.

The first would be spinning a sentence.

The cat ran [spin]fast|swiftly|lightning quick[/spin] through the deep [spin]dark|black[/spin] [spin]hole|opening[/spin] of the night. He did not know if he could [spin]out run|stay ahead|out pace[/spin] the [spin]angry|ferocious|rabid[/spin] [spin]pack|group[/spin] of dogs.

The tag spin tag has an opening and closing tag: [spin] & [/spin] everything inside those tags will be rotated. The words that will be rotated are separated by pipe character.

Below are a few outputs of the spun sentence:

The cat ran fast through the deep dark hole of the night. He did not know if he could stay ahead the rabid pack of dogs.

The cat ran lightning quick through the deep dark opening of the night. He did not know if he could out run the rabid group of dogs.

The cat ran swiftly through the deep dark hole of the night. He did not know if he could out run the angry group of dogs.

The cat ran lightning quick through the deep black hole of the night. He did not know if he could stay ahead the ferocious group of dogs.

The next would be spinning a article title.

The [spin]Feline|Cat|Kitty[/spin] [spin]Journey|Adventure|Chase[/spin] At [spin]Night|Sundown|Dark[/spin]

Below are a 27 outputs of the spun title:

1. The Feline Journey At Night
2. The Feline Journey At Sundown
3. The Feline Journey At Dark
4. The Feline Adventure At Night
5. The Feline Adventure At Sundown
6. The Feline Adventure At Dark
7. The Feline Chase At Night
8. The Feline Chase At Sundown
9. The Feline Chase At Dark
10. The Cat Journey At Night
11. The Cat Journey At Sundown
12. The Cat Journey At Dark
13. The Cat Adventure At Night
14. The Cat Adventure At Sundown
15. The Cat Adventure At Dark
16. The Cat Chase At Night
17. The Cat Chase At Sundown
18. The Cat Chase At Dark
19. The Kitty Journey At Night
20. The Kitty Journey At Sundown
21. The Kitty Journey At Dark
22. The Kitty Adventure At Night
23. The Kitty Adventure At Sundown
24. The Kitty Adventure At Dark
25. The Kitty Chase At Night
26. The Kitty Chase At Sundown
27. The Kitty Chase At Dark

RANT: I know 80-90% of you will do a half ass job at spinning as you do just enough to get by. You should be spinning these articles as fully as possible. To do it right a 450 word article will take about 45 minutes to properly spin thoroughly and readable. You get out of this what you put into it. The better spun and unique you make it, the better for the whole system. I do not suggest spinning any articles outside this system unless they are for lower lesser known article directories. Do yourself and everyone a favor a spin responsibly.

More Questions About The Free Traffic System

I have been getting quite a few emails regarding the Free Traffic System I have been promoting as of late and wanted to clarify a few things for those interested in using it.

First, I suggest when you use it, you use it to first up the rankings of one of your articles on EzineArticles or GoArticles site. This will let you see how it works without putting your own sites at risk. Once you see the power of it and how it works, you can go forward from there.

Second, you need a great article of 450 words or more to submit. I would use a different article than the one you are driving traffic to, but along the same lines or topic. If you can not write your own original content, use Need An Article.

Third, learn to use the article spinner properly and spin it good. Use at least 3 variations of words or phrases for each item you spin. The better the spin, the better for everyone involved. I hate spinning articles, but their spinner is easy to use and a good one. Spin the title as well as body of the text. This is very important.

Fourth, rotate out your anchor text links, do not use just one. Settle on three keywords or phrases related to the article you are trying to rank for.

Fifth, Is it free? Yes, very free.

Sixth, If you never use it on your own sites that is fine, you can make a living out of ranking your ezine article on page 1 of Google and funneling traffic off of them to your niche sites.

If I haven't clarified this enough, just continue to shoot me an email or comment here.

One Quality Link Can Make A Difference

So many people worry about the number of backlinks they need to get instead of focusing on quality. I have just completed a 4 week test with a brand new site related to one of my older high authority, high ranking sites. I optimized the new site, made one blog post and gave it a keyword driven anchor text backlink from my high authority same niche site. This one link was enough to rank the newer site on page 1 of Google for a highly competitive search term. Just one link! Now the higher quality backlinks are indeed harder to get, but well worth the time. Concentrate on quality and watch your rankings climb.

Also I am seeing great results from the Free Traffic System, I mentioned a few post back. One article (spun 30 times) with rotated backlinks has jumped the test site up to page one for 2 keyword phrases. If you are still concerned, then use it to drive backlinks to your articles on GoArticles or EzineArticles. Judge the results for yourself, you having nothing to lose.

Remove Line Breaks With Text Fixer

Sometimes I stumble across the best tools by accident. I like to play with tables and such and need to change or modify text for web publication many times. If you've ever needed to capitalize sentences or convert line breaks then this tool can save you needless manual time and labor. This site can also remove line breaks, capitalize sentences, put text in alphabetical order, remove white spaces or tabs, change uppercase or lowercase text. It can also convert line breaks, uncompress html and has a javascript pop-up window maker. It is a great free online tool that you likely will want to bookmark as you never know when you might need it.

Javascript Is Not A Bad Thing

I have been platying around with some of the new EPN tools and turning the RSS feeds into javascript to show listings on some sites, to see the usefulness. I am seeing some great results with the only drawbacks being that Google does not index the javascript, which is not a new secret. If your content on the page can hold it's own, I really see no need to have the listings cached. Google has been using javascript for quite a while with Google adsense with great results and is not in a hurry to change it. So if you find and affiliate program that offers RSS feeds and you want to display them as javascript, I think you have nothing to be afraid of. I am finishing up some projects to show newbies how to use EPN with free blogger platforms such as blogger using the EPN RSS feed generator and Yahoo Pipes, so you will want to stay tuned for that soon.

It's A Large World After All

Sometimes we tend to forget that it is called the World Wide Web, not just Google. I get a few emails from people every now and again that get really upset with being deindexed in Google and wondering what they should do. Trust me when I say it is not the end of the world, yes Google traffic is great, but there are other search engines and other means of getting targeted traffic. Believe it or not, non BANS sites get deindexed as well, even PHPBay sites. There usually is a REASON why and ignoring that problem will only lead to future deindexed sites. Usually it because the site is so thin or using all scraped content or leaving too many obvious footprints of a thin door way site. I have seen people rebuild sites on a new domain name to suffer the same fate. While you clean up the deindexed site to match Googles guidelines, you should continue to build legitimate backlinks and look far beyond Google and the the other SERPS for traffic. This means social sites, article directories, niche related blogs and forums and even related directories. Before re-submitting a deindexed site for review, you need to make sure your site is an honest to good engaging site, it also needs to be checked for exploits with this tool. I have looked at a few deindexed sites in the past for people to find that they have been exploited and thus likely the reason they were deindexed. Also be prepared to wait a LONG time to get back into the Google index. You are not alone as they get thousands of request a day to go through. Do not put yourself into a hole only relying on Google, open your eyes and see how wide of a world web it really is.

Three Hundred Dollars Is Worth Eight Dollars

The title of this post should say it all. I have a few BANS sites that only earned around $300.00 dollars last year, but they were fairly engaging, meaning the majority of the items sold through them were on target or semi related to what I am selling on those sites. Now these sites do not take daily work as they have no blogs attached and are only added to content wise when I get around to them. This might only be once a year, but for an $8.00 domain cost a year, it is a great investment. If I get time, I try to build a few backlinks, but these are not my big money makers, so they can stay on the back burner as long as I need them to.

To see how engaging they are, simply look at the items sold through them on your EPN reports and hopefully 6 or more items out of 10 sold SHOULD be niche related, if not you are likely needing to better focus the site or look at the type traffic coming in. If you can not get a site to earn $300.00 a year, you need to probably look closely to see if you are too broad or just not properly optimized. If no relative backlinks exist and you just do not care about the niche, you may consider letting it ride off into the sunset.

ANY site can make money and be modified, it just depends on the work you are willing to put into it.

Common Sense Is Often The Best Webmaster Guide

With so many factors that go into ranking high on Google, one could spend hours and hours trying to research the BEST way to please Google with a certain aspect of your web site. If if you find what you think MAY be the correct answer, we truly never know for sure whether or not Google agrees. When you are unsure about a certain aspect such as SEO, backlinks, anchor text, content creation etc., always let your common sense be the deciding factor. There are a ton of websites that rank very well and the webmasters know absolutely nothing other than HOW to build the site and get it up online. You can bet these webmasters are truly relying on their common sense instead of worrying about how Google will respond to it. Over thinking in this business will be a huge obstacle if you let it. The good thing is that ANY mistake or wrong decision you make is often reparable and easy to learn from. The number one common sense method is to be build a web site that gives the surfer what they are looking for. great sites will build a following over time if you engage the surfer and build trust with the surfer.

Switching My BANS Sites Into Made For Adsense Sites & Link Farms

I have been doing some serious research on the old Made For Adsense Sites and Link Farms business structure and the more I research it, the more it makes sense. Thus the name Adsense. Even though it may violate copyright law, it is much easier to scrape content and surround it with Google Adsense ads. This takes a ton less work and I would not have to worry about writing any more engaging unique content. The whole goal is to get web visitors to the website for the sole purpose of clicking on advertisements anyway. I can build a few link farms which will be a giant group of web sites that all link to every other site in the farm. I can create these as well through automated programs. Then I just link up my Made For Adsense Sites to these Link Farms and I have a totally automated system that just makes cents!!! These old formulas are probably not even policed by Google any longer because they are so old fashioned. In fact, Google co-founder Larry Page, recently made a blog post about how they do not even account for link farms and Made For Adsense Sites any longer. I have a busy day in front of me now. I have seen the light!!! :)
