Tax Time - Corporate Entities For Beginners

Sorry for the delay today as I had two cavities filled and had to go down and pay property taxes on 2 of my 3 rental units I own. I always hold on to that money as long as I can. I make better use of it than my County officials do. That about ties up all of my loose ends before we slip off to Vegas. Tomorrow is April 1st and in 2 more weeks taxes are do. I also hold on to that money as long as possible too. My accountant has already electronically filed, but we also wait to the 15th to send the IRS our check. It is great problem to have, I guess.

Being we are in the tax month, usually questions surface about business entities, taxes, accounting and etc. right now. Today Neil Patel had a guest post by Scott Walker that covers a Beginner’s Guide to Corporate Entities. I really suggest you read it as it should clarify a few things for you if you intend being incorporated as I am. Also I suggest you get with an accountant or legal professional as well, to help guide you with which entity fits your needs best. Always take advice from the web as guidance and not law.

Remember once again, that Thursday is April 1st. Don't get fooled! ;)

Pixlr - A Free Online Image Editor

I stumbled across a great free online image editor named Pixlr today. You can create and edit images and photos right online, for free as well. This is great for those of you that do not own Photoshop and have had problems learning the free Gimp program. Now I am no image pro, but do get around quite well on Photoshop, so I found this free Pixlr program a breeze to use. It does lack some things, but if you are new to creating images, this will be a great starting point for you. I am sure some tutorial will show up on Youtube and they have a Facebook group as well. They also have a tool called Pixlr Grabber that you can install on Firefox, Chrome or use as a Windows addon!

Taking Little Things In Life For Granted

I am going way off course today. I tend to do that every now and again. I am a bit jaded, I admit it. I live in an almost perfect environment that allows me to work my business full time and from home. Just me and my wife and my dog. if you know me, you know I keep a regular pattern. I luckily have obsessive compulsive disorders that I feel gives me some unfair advantages in this business.

I am guilty of taking some things for granted. Like what you ask? How about running water. Yes, running water. Our neighborhood was hit with a water main break pre dawn today and the water was off ALL day. It is amazing how many times a day we use the sink, shower and toilet throughout the day. Really amazing for me as I like to wash my hands about 100 times a day. I am not joking. I also do not function well without a shower.

Oh you poor baby, you say? Yes, eggzacklee. What can we all learn from this? Don't take simple things like this in life for granted. There are numerous places throughout the world that do not have clean water, let alone running water. It really made me take a step back today and was a dose of reality. Something all of us need every now and again.

I am all showered up now, but am reflecting on how much of an ass I was today to my wife and dog merely because we had no running water. Do not take the simple things in life for granted. That includes loved ones as well. None of us are perfect and we should be thankful for what we all have and not take anything for granted. Even water.

Free Miracle Traffic Bot Webinar This Evening

Miracle Traffic Bot is a new product by Paul Ponna that will be released tomorrow. There is also a free webinar in about an hour, where you can watch the specifics on it. I do not yet own this software, but will watch the webinar to see it in action. I am watching for how good of automated submission system it is and what types of places it is submitted to. The software is billed as a 3 in 1 software to automate the process of grabbing high value backlinks to your site. Now I doubt the high value statement, but am always looking for something to automate submissions to article directories, social sites and video sites. Is this the next GOOD software like The Best Spinner is? Not sure, but I will likely buy it to test it out. You can register for the free webinar that starts at 6pm eastern, here. Not sure how limited the space is. We shall watch together. Let me pop my popcorn.

Free StatCounter Wordpress Plugin

I have been meaning to post about this for a while, but it keeps slipping down my list. If you use an external stat counter, you likely have run across both StatCounter and Sitemeter. I have used both and like both, but StatCounter has a plugin for Wordpress that I have yet to run across for Sitemeter. The plugin page is here and the download is here if you choose not to install it through your plugin dashboard. Give it a try, today, especially if you already use StatCounter.

EPN Rolling Out New Features To Interface

In case you missed the latest news from EPN (eBay Partner Network), they are adding some things to their interface and sent out the announcement below along with a link to the latest blog post. The one thing they have yet to do or add is a great white list or approved website function. I think this would help protect existing EPN partners along with help EPN fight more fraud. The white list would work similar to the way Google Adsense has their approved site list. It doesn't sound too difficult to implement, but perhaps another day. Maybe before 2012 when the world is scheduled to end. Relax folks, that is a joke. Happy Friday everyone, the EPN email copy is below:

As part of our continuing investments in the eBay Partner Network platform, we will be rolling out new features to the eBay Partner Network (ePN) interface on March 30th. This release incorporates several improvements requested by a number of you, including updates to the dashboard, the addition of a new landing page report, a new way to handle archived campaigns, and an overhaul to the Creatives Generator to make it easier to use.

Please see this blog post for detailed information about the new functionality and we recommend that you pay particular attention to the section on "Dashboard Updates" and "Deactivating Campaigns", as when you log in you will see a few changes to the dashboard and the way we handle your archived campaigns.

We continue to listen to your suggestions and strive to offer advanced tools to better assist your marketing needs. Thank you for your continued partnership.

Clean Dateless Wordpress Theme

A reader emailed me asking if I knew of a clean Wordpress theme that had a small header image that was easy to change out along with the theme being easy to customize. I went through my 1000's of bookmarks and uncovered one that I had forgot about. The theme is called Dateless Mini-Site WordPress Themes and it is free to download. The header image is 780x80 pixels and it comes stock in 7 colors and if they do not meet your color needs the colors are easily changed in the css via the # hex numbers, as they are not images. Everything should be super simple for you to modify. This is a no frills template, but very pliable and easy to adapt to ANY niche. Make sure to bookmark this one for later use.

Article Ranks Review & Coupon Code Number

OK, so I had a reader send me a link to Article Ranks and wanted my opinion of it. It was the first I had heard of it, but on the surface it checked out pretty good. I went ahead and dove in to give it a $10.00 try.

What is it? Article Ranks is an up-scaled version of Free Traffic System, I have used and promoted in the past on this blog. While FTS is still mildly effective to use even in the free version, you probably noticed that some of the quality of blogs are not up to snuff. I still stand by the motto though that there is no such thing as a bad backlink. Some of course are better than others and carry more weight though. Back to Article Ranks! They do a great job of screening out the blogs and sites that they allow to publish the articles. This makes for a much better network to distribute your articles to.

Article Ranks interface is top notch, but a little rough to understand at first. I do suggest watching the videos and reading everything first a few times. Also clunky is the spin format. I do not like the time involved and the method they have to rewrite and spin the sentences, but if you understand the format, you can use the free Crewriter or The Best Spinner and adapt the output VERY easily. It took me a few minutes to figure out, but I was able to take an article I did in the Best Spinner and export it out using the export function into the EXACT format that Article Ranks uses. That format looks like below:

The {cat~dog~mouse} {ate~devoured~downed} my {leftover~extra} {spaghetti~tacos~pizza}.

Get the drift. If you never have spun articles or used The Best Spinner, you have no idea what I am talking about and should stop reading now. You do not have to spin mind you, but several site owners will reject and not publish your articles if you do not have SOME level of uniqueness and clarity to them. You can use up to three links in the articles, but I always just use 2 links and rotate around the anchor text used. One link goes to an interior page, while another points to the home page.

Article marketing has never gone away through all of these years and while it should not be your ONLY method of building backlinks, it is still very much one of the must effective ways to do so. If you are going to use this service, I ask you do so responsibly. If you spin, spin as if the article was going to go on one of your own sites. If you choose to offer up a site to the network as well, offer up a decent one, not just and old junked de-indexed site. I doubt it would be accepted any how.

All in all the cost to submit an article is 2 credits. One credit cost $1.00 and the minimum credits you can buy to get started is 10 or $10.00. If you want to try it for free go here and sign up and use the coupon code: 6140549c6d6ad47e914f02f16ef41aea That should get you one article submission. Snoop around and make sure you understand how everything works before using that one free one as well, that way you can better judge the results for yourself, but I really think it will be a great article distribution resource for you. You can also sign up for an unlimited monthly fee of $39.00 as well.

If you have any questions or need help with the spin syntax, just hit me up and i will lend a hand.

Keeping That 90 Day Mentality

Not everyday in this business is spent building niche sites. Sooner or later you have to build links to these sites, especially if your site is not authoritative in nature or in it's early days. Everyone loves building sites. It helps release a persons creative juices. You can instantly see the fruit of your labors right in front of you. Building links, ranking and building targeted traffic on the other hand, requires work that is not as visible from a day to day aspect. Many have read my thoughts on this in the past. If you haven't, my belief was and is, it takes 90 days from the day you do something to see the results. Now is this an exact point in time? Absolutely not. Sometimes it can take less time, sometimes more time. 90 days though is what I use as the measuring point in building backlinks and ranking.

I also try to acquire at least 5 backlinks a day, total. It can be 5 to the same site or 5 to different sites. It can be 5 bookmarks to 5 articles on article directories as well. Some days I exceed this by far. Some days I just don't get it accomplished, but those days are few and far between. It is engraved on my brain, that I need to do something today, that will benefit me 90 days from today. It is my motto and should be yours as well.

Readers comment to me every now and again on how organized and focused I am. They imagine the perfect scenario for me everyday with everything falling right in place. Trust me, I have my SNAFU days. I just try to solve whatever situation arises and get on to what I need to do. I treat every day as if the whole house of cards is going to come crumbling down on me today. I pretend that checks will stop coming tomorrow. I act as if I need one more article submission or backlink to that one site today or that one site will lose it's number one ranking. Get the picture? The feeling you get when you lean back in a chair and you almost fall and you just do catch yourself, is how how feel everyday when it comes to my business. I live for it.

You have to treat everyday as the most important day in your business. Why? Because it is. Yes, I get sick! Yes, the dog gets sick! Yes, my dad calls and needs his computer fixed. We all have interruptions and distractions. It is how you deal with them and carry out the day to day task that separates the levels of success. You have to get and keep that 90 day mentality if you want to be successful in this business. It has helped me immensely. Now go build some backlinks. 90 days will be here before you know it.

Example Of Exact Keyword Match In Domain

The fine creators of Market Samurai have a new blog post up where they break down having an exact keyword match in the domain name can help you in ranking. Now do not read too much into this and let it run you off of a keyword with low competition, just because the exact match in domain names is taken. By all means though, if the exact match is available, register it. This really hasn't been a secret, it is just better reinforced in a post as this.

Another thing, don't think this is an invite to use trademarked names. As tempting as it is, it just is not worth it. You can attack a great trademarked keyword without having to register a trademarked domain name. Research it first by all means though as some names are more usable than you think, but you better ask permission. I have found a few myself that allow this, but it took some research and emails. When in doubt though, stay on the safe side.

Also if you don't own Market Samurai, yet, you really should consider making the investment in it, it is a solid tool.

Clickbank Analytics Sites

Just a quick blurb on Sunday about Clickbank product promotion. On every site I build, I try to find some sort of product I can sell from Clickbank. It is not always possible to find, but I have been surprised before. Some tools to research Clickbank products that might be beneficial to you are, Clickbank monitor and Clickbank Analytics. These sites have been around for a while and provide great data on Clickbank sold items. If you are new to one or both, you read the getting started with Clickbank Analytics section as well as the information on what is offered on Clickbank monitor. If you do any type of selling of Clickbank products, these sites will be very helpful to you. I make a ton of money with Clickbank products and never need to worry about the tracking or getting paid.

Faceted Navigation Explained

If you remember last week, I posted a link to the interview Eric Enge did with Matt Cutts. I also commented in that post about faceted navigation. Well it did not take Rand Fishkin from SEO Moz very long to dedicate a Whiteboard Friday video to it. Rand shows you a clean and simple way to allow for both great usability for your visitors and compact, straightforward crawl-ability for the search engines. It is a little deep and many do not have to worry about it, but it is educational.

Thighmaster Teaches Niche Site Basics

So this morning my wife has me up in the attic putting away her Fall decor and pulling down her Spring decor. Only the women readers will understand that. Anyways, I was rearranging some boxes when out popped a set of Thighmasters. This exercise apparatus was popular in the 90's and was pimped by Suzanne Somers. The infomercials were everywhere at that time and they sold a ton of them. Well my wife saw them and decided she wanted to use them again. After our attic trip, she wanted me to pull her up some exercises to do with them.

Always being on the lookout for niches, I thought I would do some exploring keyword wise. A quick look with the Google Keyword Tool, reveals that the exact phrases thigh master, suzanne somers thigh master and thigh master exercises all bring in some great search numbers monthly as does the alternate spelling of thighmaster and suzanne somers thighmaster.

A quick search in Google reveals thighmaster.net (not going to link to it) ranking high if not number one on several of these main searches. I ran the term thigh master through Market Samurai and the site has a domain age of 9, but nothing in the archive really to speak of. It has quite a few backlinks, but mostly from sites that seem owned by the same owner. The onsite SEO is nicely done and believe it or not, the site only has 3 pages in the index and one is the Hello world default Wordpress post that is dated August 8, 2009. So at least we know when this version was likely built.

So what can we learn from this? Not really anything new, but it shows it does not matter how many pages of content a site has. It matters about backlinks, on and off site SEO, a great domain (although in this case likely a Trademark infringe) and some domain age. If you want to dig deeper in this site, follow the outlinks. Also research the type backlinks in Yahoo explorer. Nothing really secretive going on, just good hard work and all the basics. I thought I would point it out as a testament of what great keywords and hard work can accomplish. Nothing fancy, just the basics. Now I haven't dug deeper with various other tools, I will leave that to you readers, but it is an interseting site to learn from.

Is SEO Dead?

Mike McDonald of WebProNews Videos interviewed Greg Jarboe recently at OMS 2010, aka SES San Diego, for a story entitled, "The Death (Or Redefinition) Of SEO Discussed." Jarboe really breaks down SEO as it is now, how it was in the past and where it is trending.

Watch Those Error Logs

Be truthful! When was the last time you checked your error logs? Be honest. It is something that can go by the wayside especially if on the surface the sites seem to load fine. I like to check both inside my Cpanel and also look at the text file on the server entitled error_log that likely resides inside your public_html folder. You can open this file and view the errors you need to research to fix. Usually they are nothing major. I also monitor these error_logs for changes everyday using the old script I talked about years ago. This script alerts me everyday to any changes to any files on my server. It is easy to install as well. Check those errors out today and put them to bed. It just may speed things up as well on site loading. If you find an error you are unsure about, contact your host. They should offer support to help you fix and track these down.

Spun Article Distribution

If you are not yet using The Best Spinner for article marketing, you have been hiding under a rock. The program gets better by the day. It truly is one of the best article spinners anyone has every made. Enough of that. Those of you who do own it are looking for places to submit the spun format of your articles to. The best starting place for free is the Free Traffic System. It is a great starting point for newbies to the "spin world" of article distribution. You get to submit to 30 blogs of those listed and more than anything, learn the process of submitting a spun formatted article. When you get the process down, you might want to consider the Spin Distribute Service. No it is not free. You purchase credits and one spun article submission cost you 4 credits. You will not get accepted to 800 sites, but it is well worth whatever approvals you do get and you will get quite a few of them for sure. The best thing is if you have spun thoroughly, the better off you will be. I like the fact that in the "About the Author with html" section, you can rotate through anchor text and links as well. An example would be below of how that format would be:

Dave is super [great|nice] guy and loves building niche [sites|stores] and moderates the [<a href="http://www.nichesitebuilding.com/forum/index.php">BANS forum</a>|<a href="http://www.nichesitebuilding.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=112">building with Wordpress forum</a>|<a href="http://www.nichesitebuilding.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=66">critique my site forum</a>] and writes for his [<a href="http://buildanichestoreblog.blogspot.com/">Build A Niche Store Blog</a>|<a href="http://buildanichestoreblog.blogspot.com/">BANS blog</a>].

Can you decipher the above? See what I mean? The directions are very well laid out and if you value your time, it is well worth the money spent. If you are tight on money, you can submit spun articles one at at time to the long list of article directories they list. The choice is yours.

Eric Enge Interviews Matt Cutts

I do not know exactly when this interview took place, but i have learned it is quite recent. Probably during the recent SMX convention, but that is a guess. I seem to remember that Enge has interviewed Matt Cutts from Google before as well, but I need to find it. The most intriguing aspect I learned from the interview is the talk about faceted navigation. That is a new term for me. Cutts also goes on to confirm what we indeed already knew and that is the fact that PageRank sculpting is pretty much a waste of time. This is a great interview all the way around and I suggest reading entirely if you have the time.

The SEO Ultimate WordPress Plugin

I am starting to come out of my sick funk now and have on my list to play around with the SEO Ultimate WordPress Plugin starting on Monday. You can join me or even beat me to the punch by reading about and installing the plugin from here or in your Wordpress dashboard. I also added the Youtube video below that gives an over view. I have heard good things about the plugin and on the surface seems very newbie friendly. I will let you know soon if I find any problems as I will be testing on an established site. The last update of the plugin was on 3/11/10.

Domain Name Tools

I am still very sick today and am trying to get the essentials knocked out in between coma like sleep. Seems this time of year when the weather changes to Spring, I tend to go down a few days. Finding the perfect domain can take a little time and other than just going to a registrar like GoDaddy or Name.com, there are some great free tools out there that will let you sift through and find the perfect domain for your next site. In no particular order or likes, I have listed a few below.

Domize - Domize is a domain name search engine that begins looking up the availability of a domain name as soon as you start typing it. Domize provides a secure and private environment to search for your next domain name.

Domainr - Domainr is a fast, free utility for finding and registering domain names for your website or short URL service. Search .com, .net, .org and other top-level domains, instantly check availability, and connect to the registrar of your choice.

BustAName - Free tool lets you quickly check domain availability. Domain search engine combines the words you enter and tells you which combination's are available.

Dot-o-mator - Use Dot-o-mator to create domain name suggestions. Just enter a word (or words) in the left box, and choose some endings (or enter your own). Click to combine them. If you see a name you like, you can check its availability or save it to your list

DomainsBot - Place to go to find a great domain name: Available domain suggestions, name spinner, expired and expiring domain name searchs.

A Laugh On A Friday - Lost In Technology

Hey it is Friday, or at least that is what my computer tells me. I am also incredibly sick. The weather went from 40's to nearly 80's and has thrown me sideways against the wall health wise. I am sure glad I have these problems in my early 40's as it ensures I likely will not live to be a miserable old age. lol. anyways, I caught this on Twitter and got a chuckle reading it. I especially like the Google rolling out Buzz reference. Maybe the article really isn't that funny and the Robitussin® just has me loopy. I really do not know for sure. Happy Friday everyone. It is Friday? Right?

I Just Found The Google Retail Advertising Blog

Many of you may have already known it, many may have seen it, many may have missed it like I did. Regardless, I came across the Google Retail Advertising Blog today and do not remember seeing it before. There really is some great reading on there, especially the post under the Trends for 2010 label. Just when I think I have seen all of the good blogs they have, I stumble across another one.

While we are on the subject of Google, have you tried the new Fetch as Googlebot tool inside of Webmaster tools? It is under the Labs part of the dashboard. Check it out.

Luke, Google Is Your Father!

Well, this ought to scare the hell out of all you. It really will please the Google conspiracy theorist. Anyways the video below is reportedly from the Australian show “Hungry Beast”. It is a well done video and you will get my Luke reference if you watch it all the way through. Does it worry me? No, not really. I just choose not to do anything wrong whatsoever.

If I Had A Gun To My Head

I get some great questions on the various forums I frequent along with questions that come in through here. I have had a few "if I had a gun to my head" and money were tight would I choose product A or product B questions over the years. In so many words I have been asked this type of question a few dozen times. Today I was asked a version of the question in regards to "if money were tight and I had a gun to my head, where would I start?" First, if money is that tight, I would target several groups of keywords under a niche and open notepad and bang out content matching those keywords. Second, I would carefully research and select a domain name that reflected one, if not the parent keyword phrase in an exact match and borrow 8 bucks to register it. If you cant afford that, you can use a free Wordpress.com or Blogger.com blog and look for a match there. Next I would carefully PLAN, upload and organize all of my content onto the new site and properly SEO all the pages. I would add Adsense Ads to the site and then proceed to write a few other articles and start building backlinks via the free article directories along with commenting on some related type blog sites, build a few free Squidoo and Hubpages, submit to some link directories and start my trip to the top of Google. When I got my Google account over the $100.00 mark and got paid, I would repeat the process.

Seriously, if money is that tight, be frugal and do the steps. You CAN make money with free hosted blogging sites if you do the work correctly. Don't spend money used to feed your family when you can do nearly everything for free when you get started. Use Amazon, Commission Junction, Linkshare and ShareAsale the hard way. Copy and paste the code into the sites when you can't afford plugins. Offer to write content for others for some quick cash. Where there is a will, there is a way. If my entire empire collapsed tonight, I could start tomorrow and not spend a dime. So can you. It only depends if you want to commit yourself to the work. Is it harder without some tools? Absolutely, but it CAN be done. If I had a gun to my head, I would stop reading this blog post and get busy.

Amazing Grace Is No Secret, Just A Good Wordpress Theme

A reader sent me an email asking about the Amazing Grace Wordpress Theme and what I thought about it. I never have used this on a site, but do remember seeing it before. I downloaded it this morning to have a look at it and it like many other great free Wordpress themes and templates, I see no reason not to use it if it fits your taste. It is very customizable as you can even download the PSD file and change the colors with Photoshop or Gimp. You can easily swap out the image as well very easily. It is a great free template for a newbie as well. So yes, get you some Amazing Grace, i think I might even use it sometime in the near future as well. The biggest thing with any template is to make sure no embedded links to other sites are included or any unorthodox coding that may make the site not view right in any of the browsers. Just open up all of the files in PSPad if you are unsure and have a look especially in the header or footer files for links to sites that might be deemed harmful to link to. Not ALL free Wordpress themes are free if they link to sites that are not deemed trust worthy.

Why Only 10-20 Article Submissions A Day?

A reader asked me in reference to my statement of only making 10-20 spun article submissions a day this morning. I wanted to clarify that I bit. I shouldn't say a day, I should say when I submit. I do have some days that I do string together multiple days of submissions, but they are not the same article and most of the time not the same niche. Using the ArticleBot makes this process much less time consuming. I do not believe in overdoing anything that might set off a flag with Google. Besides, thoroughly spinning an article 20 times at max is enough in my opinion. Those also will drip in over a 2 week period as well most of the time thanks to lazy article directory webmasters. I also mix up my directories I submit to as well. If you had one niche site and submitted one nicely and thoroughly spun article a week to 15 or so article directories with rotated anchor text pointing to both home and interior pages of your site, you can't help but to rise in the rankings. Create a schedule and stick to it and for Gods sake look natural and spin thoroughly if you are using the Best Spinner. Mix in some other types of backlinks along through the week and if you have done your keyword research correctly and properly SEO'ed your site, you will see the results in 90-120 days. The turtle wins this race that moves natural and calculated. Always remember that.

ArticleBot Worth The $24.95

I have heard quite a few good things about ArticleBot, but had yet to purchase it myself until last night. I shelled out the measly $24.95 and put it to the test. One of my biggest wants in an article submitter is having the ability to submit in a spin format. Most that I have seen do not have this ability so I have been without the use of one for a while. ArticleBot does accommodate that need. It comes with a well laid out user guide of 43 pages and it WILL take you about 30-45 minutes to get the initial hang of things of setting it up, but if you follow the guide, it will make it easier. It can also auto sign up at article directories you are not a member of yet as well. I like to submit one thoroughly spun article to about 10-20 directories every couple of days or so. This really makes the process simple. You can also add your favorite directories to the expansive list already included if you so desire. If you use the Best Spinner, the ArticleBot will compliment it very nicely. I am glad I purchased it. The link to ArticleBot is not an affiliate link as I have yet to sign up to the program. I have no way of knowing how many of you have purchased so please leave a comment if you buy it and how you like it. The developer post on the Warrior Forum as well and always open to feedback on it.

ETA: Folks wanted some videos so good old Youtube was just a click away.

Watch Google's Matt Cutts Live Today At SMX

How Viagra Can Help You In Link Building

No, I have not totally lost my mind and no I do not use Viagra. Not yet, anyways. You want to know how Viagra can help you in building quality links? Do a Google search for "buy viagra" with and without quotes. Do you know how hard it is (excuse the pun) to rank for that keyword phrase? Extremely difficult, for sure. What you can learn from this or any other keyword phrase that is difficult and in high demand, is to trace their backlinks and where they are getting links from. You might find a few new places that you can pick up some easy links from. Just run the sites through Yahoo Site Explorer and do some snooping, you will be surprised at what you find. What about the top category of the niche you are closely associated with? Any high volume keywords you can do the same thing with? Even if you picked up 10 new backlinks, it would surely be worth it. It could even vault you to #1 in Google for a long tail keyword phrase. If you research longer than 4 hours, I suggest you consult your physician. Now where did I put my LEVITRA?

So Many Distractions, So Little Time

I love working on the web. I live for it and can't wait to get out of bed every morning. It is like getting paid to do something I do for free. Unlike most, I do this full time for a living and by full time I mean 80 plus hours a week. Sometimes 100 plus. Guess what? Sometimes it still is not enough time to get done with the goals I set for myself everyday. I can't imagine how tough it is on a newbie these days as it seems so long ago. Every message board has a new method or addon to try and we all get bombarded with fantastic spam that beckons our attention. A newbie must really wonder some times where to start or turn. It is easy for even me to get sidetracked on occasion. I do however set aside time to beta test for a few developers, whether it be platforms, plugins and tools, but I am good at catching myself wandering too far off track. When I catch myself being distracted, I get up and grab a cup of coffee and my daily punch list and usually sit out in the Florida room for 15 minutes or so with my trusted side-kick Westie right at my side. I read over my list and mentally scold myself for getting too far off course for the day. I shut my eyes for about the last 5 minutes and mentally escape everything. After that I find myself better focused and can jump right back into my work. If you are not full time in this business, I highly suggest you stick with the basics until the light comes on. You have so little time and there are so many distractions just waiting to throw you off course. Stick with the meat and potatoes as there will always be time for the bells and whistles later on. OK, maybe not a ton of time.

Making money with Google Adsense is one of the easiest way to earn money online. It is a great place for newbies to start, in order to see how affiliate marketing works without worrying about actually converting a surfer to buy. Some sites and niches are just made for adsense as well. SEO chat just did a great post on Increasing Your Google AdSense Revenue. The post details how to increase your AdSense revenue, blocking irrelevant Google AdSense ads and identifying high AdSense potential websites in your channels. They go into detail on the Adsense Page CTR and Page eCPM as well.

On another note, if you are new to using and learning Wordpress, I have exciting news you will surely want to check out on Tuesday.
