Free Tube Fool Software

Alex Goad and Mark Dulisse are currently giving away a free Youtube marketing tool called Tube Fool. You can watch the demo video below and I have yet to give it a go as of yet as I want to get past the holiday first. It does look pretty cool and of course you will have to opt in to get it and the course. It may or may not be up your alley, so give it a look and see if it is something you might want to play with. They say new features are coming which I am sure will be where they charge. Unclear at this point.

Cyber Black Monday Is Tomorrow

As most know already, Monday is known as Cyber Black Monday. This day is known as the busiest day of the online shopping season and is the first Monday following Thanksgiving. So far all of the media reports are strong for retail and online sales. I myself have seen record days as well since Thanksgiving.

The average amount spent per person from Thursday to Sunday was about $365, more than a 6 percent increase over last year, according to a survey of about 4,300 Americans by the National Retail Federation, a trade group that reported results on Sunday afternoon.

You have to be real excited about this news and make sure to monitor your sites and traffic starting yesterday. I hope all of you blow it out on Monday. It is going to be a great holiday shopping season.

I always try to let my readers know when Big Mike from Incansoft has a deal on his software. I own many of these programs myself and he is offering everything in the Incansoft catalog for 50% off through this weekend. The coupon code for the discount is THANKS (all caps). There are two exceptions though as the coupon code for GFX Writer is GRAPHICS and the coupon code for GFX Video Writer is VIDEO. So if you've been waiting for a sale to pick up another product, or buy additional licenses, now is the time to do it. If you experience difficulty adding multiple products to your cart, try using Internet Explorer. The software catalog is at http://incansoft.com/Catalog.php

Always Room To Outsource More

If there is one thing that I have learned this past year is how to outsource more. Some things I can not automate like some types of directory submissions and certain social bookmark submissions so those are easily outsourced. It goes without saying that I have firmly embraced outsourcing a ton of my article writing and product reviews/descriptions. All of this has freed me up to concentrate on the little things like keyword research, and traffic research. I have also found a great graphics guy that knocks out any custom work I need for headers or banners on a day turn around. On any new review/product site I build all I need to do is the initial market research and install and put it together. That is pretty much it. If it is a niche I know a ton about, I will still knock out the articles that get written and spun with The Best Spinner that go out to article sites and places like SEO Link Vine. I plan on outsourcing the spinning too in 2011. Also next year, I hope to continue to try to build only one great site a month as I have a very full stable of sites that is already earning very well and mostly just needs better managing to squeeze even more income out of them. Do not be afraid to outsource anything that will free you up to do the more important task. It has worked great for me.

Shopping TV & Keywords To Websites Plugin

It is the time of year when I will watch the shopping channels during the day and see if there are any quick and trendy niches I can try to cash in real quick over the next 30 days with the Keywords To Websites plugin. If something catches my eye, I will have a look at the keyword demand and play around with some drill downs to see if I can find a little hole. I will slap up an out of the box Keywords To Websites site with about 10 pages or so and throw some quick social bookmark links at it to make sure it gets indexed fully. If the next 30 days it produces a few sales, I will expand it out as a review site following the holidays. This time of year, you can get a ton of ideas from QVC & the Home Shopping Network. Give it a go.

If You Auto Blog You Need A VPS Host

The discount code for the Auto Blog Blueprint 2.0 has been quite popular and a few that bought have emailed me questions. As Michael Johnson suggest, you will not want to set these up on shared host like Hostgator. Now there is nothing wrong with Hostgator mind you, it is just when you get a few of these going, they will set off a red flag and they might suspend your account or shut your sites down until you stop the auto blogging. You might get away with one, two or even three, but they will catch you. I use 6 different hosting companies and the best choice for auto blogs is Servint Essential VPS. They are great with phone call support and getting you set up as well. Make sure whatever hosting you use, make sure it is a fast VPS that allows auto blogs. You have been warned.

Keywords To Websites Plugin Adds Content Spinner

I forget to write about the most recent update to the Keywords To Websites Wordpress plugin. Hopefully you own this, but if not you should get it now before Black Friday starts. you might be able to get a niche or two or three up very quickly and take advantage of some quick indexing. The latest update features an added content spinner.

Per the directions:

Directions:
Anything between { and } and seperated with a | will be randomly selected. Anytime the plugin finds **keyword** it will replace with your actual keyword.

Here's an example:
{Information about|Our page about|Details for|Learn about} the **keyword**. We {looked high and low|searched|hunted|scanned|browsed} for {information|details|pictures|facts|prices|content} on the **keyword** and {put it all together on this page|compiled it here|organized it for you}.

The example will generate results like this using the keyword **monkey tv**:
-Learn about the monkey tv. We scanned for details on the monkey tv and organized it for you.
-Our page about the monkey tv. We scanned for content on the monkey tv and organized it for you.
-Details for the monkey tv. We searched for pictures on the monkey tv and compiled it here.
-Our page about the monkey tv. We scanned for prices on the monkey tv and compiled it here.

The more complex you make your template the more unique and awesome your spun text becomes.

I also want to thank everyone that took advantage of the Auto Blog Blueprint coupon code yesterday. I see most know a deal when they see it.

Friday Motivation Poem

A little fun after a hard worked week. This type stuff makes me work until 4 in the morning and go on only 35 hours a week of sleep. The poem is called "The Guy in the Glass" and it was written by Dale Wimbrow circa 1934. I hope it hits home with you.

The Guy in the Glass

When you get what you want in your struggle for pelf,

And the world makes you King for a day,

Then go to the mirror and look at yourself,

And see what that guy has to say.

For it isn't your Father, or Mother, or Wife,

Who judgement upon you must pass.

The feller whose verdict counts most in your life

Is the guy staring back from the glass.

He's the feller to please, never mind all the rest,

For he's with you clear up to the end,

And you've passed your most dangerous, difficult test

If the guy in the glass is your friend.

You may be like Jack Horner and "chisel" a plum,

And think you're a wonderful guy,

But the man in the glass says you're only a bum

If you can't look him straight in the eye.

You can fool the whole world down the pathway of years,

And get pats on the back as you pass,

But your final reward will be heartaches and tears

If you've cheated the guy in the glass.

EPN Announces Custom Banner Improvements

You may or may not be aware of it, but EPN (eBay Partner Network) has announced in a new blog post that they have changed the way Custom Banner handles keyword inputs. According to the post, you are now able to use a large variety of operators to define your keyword input in greater detail. This helps to bring the custom banner more into line with keyword searching functionality on the eBay site. You can able to enter these operators and queries directly into the search box in the Custom Banner interface starting now. They are suggesting that encode any keyword query you place directly into the Custom Banner code instead of the interface and recommend you to do this by using the tool located here. Make sure to click the images to see what they are talking about. I plan on putting one of these to use tonight.

Holiday Spending Expected TO Be Up 9% Over Last Year

Analytics firm comScore reported on Tuesday that they expect online spending during the holiday season to increase by 9 percent over last year. What great news this is for all of us. Back in October put the word out that they expected an increase of 7 to 9 percent. At that time they also warned that any turn downward in the unemployment rate, price inflation or setbacks in the stock market would weigh on consumer spending. In the months of November and December of 2009, U.S. online sales rose 4 percent. In addition to that report the The National Retail Federation has said it expects 2010 holiday retail sales, which also exclude online sales, to rise by 2.3 percent this year to $447.1 billion, compared with a rise of 0.4 percent last year. Online retailers such as Amazon.com & Ebay.com as well as traditional retailers like Wal-Mart view the net as a key target of consumers, who shop online and research prices in order to avoid the hassle of going to stores. Personally I have been very satisfied with what I have seen increase wise over the 30 days leading up to Black Friday. I think it is going to be a fantastic holiday season for us.

New Adsense Interface Videos

Hopefully you have noticed already that Goggle Adsense has a new interface available for you. I really like the improvements after thumbing around on it for a while. I did take some time out to view the Adsense tour videos on the Inside Adsense Youtube channel. In the videos they tell you what has changed and the videos and other tutorials. You really should watch these. I have added the story video below behind building the new AdSense interface.

I just came across this video today and thought I would pass it along on how to post to your Wordpress blog by just writing an email, from your desktop, the web, or even your cell phone. Many of you this is not new news, but to some of you it may be. This comes courtesy of the great Wordpress.tv site. Great video tutorials there.

Stop Using The BlogPress SEO Plugin

You may or may not have been turned on to the BlogPress SEO Plugin over the past few months. If you have, you might want to heed the advice of Wordpress guru Joost de Valk and delete the plugin and change all passwords. The plugin is advertised as being able to add backlinks on other blogs that use the same plugin. As Joost points out, it is not only a link scheme, it is also malware as he posted in a recent update to the post he did. Luckily I never got mixed in with this plugin or type of link building and I suggest you don't either. Happy Saturday everyone.

Cosmetics Last On A Site Rebuilds

I am all ready for the meat of the holiday shopping season on most of my sites and am now turning most of my attention to a few more sites that need rebuilds from the old BANS days. I plan these out, but try to move very methodical on them so I do them right. I don't like it to eat of large chunks of my day either. The biggest urge I have to fight is trying to play with the looks and cosmetics first instead of functionality. This is a big no-no, because the site needs to function right and all links, plugins and addons taken care of first. It is better to have a site working right using a base default Wordpress template, instead of having a pretty site that is half done. I tell you this from experience. Doctoring up your look, headers and CSS styles can get time consuming if you let it. Make this the last thing you do on a rebuild. There are many times when I wish I would of followed this very advice. Of course if you have the time and means, you can have EVERYTHING ready and done on a test domain or subdomain. This way you just move the theme and etc over to the rebuild. However you do it, make sure this site is down as little time as possible.

Veterans Day 2010

My area Rotary Club District puts on a Military Appreciation Day luncheon every year and brings in a speaker to talk. This year it was Lt. Gen. John F. Kelly. That was on November 1st. This past Tuesday, his son, Second Lt. Robert M. Kelly was killed after he was struck by an improvised explosive device while on a foot patrol in Afghanistan. Today is Veterans Day and my wife and I went downtown this morning for the Veterans Day parade and ceremony. It was very moving. Please make sure you thank a vet or service man every time you see one. They sacrifice so much for us and some pay the ultimate price with their life.

Perfect Domain Article

Heather Lutze has a regular article in Website Magazine and this month she authored a great article on the Perfect Domain. In her article she list 5 major points in an Action Plan to determine if a domain should be acquired and for what price. She includes great links to Sedo Domain Law and the USPTO which really should be in everybodys bookmarks.

Also if you do not have a subscription to Website Magazine, you should put it on your Christmas list or give it to yourself for Christmas. It is an excellent resource that every webmaster should have. I have subscribed for years to both the print and the web version. Good stuff and well worth the money.

ReviewAZON & WP Robot Amazon Updates Now Ready

I posted about the PHPZon Wordpress update the other day and hopefully you have the changes in place to meet the new Amazon API changes. In addition, ReviewAZON and WP Robot have also announced that they too have made updates to their plugins as well to meet these new needs. You should of received the email notice if you own these plugins, but this is your heads up if it landed in your SPAM bucket. If you do not already own any of these plugins and are thinking about adding them to your arsenal, you can now sleep easy that all 3 are now Amazon API ready. I have been busy making these changes myself along with some well needed tweaks. Busy, busy.

Free Squeeze Page Generator Wordpress Plugin

If you ever intend to build a opt in list of any kind, you will need a great squeeze page to entice surfers to opt in. The well known Alex Goad is giving away a great Wordpress plugin in anticipation of his new Wordpress theme that he is launching. The plugin he is giving away free is a squeeze page generator plugin. It automatically integrates into both the Aweber and Getresponse email services and he gives you a step by step video in using as well. You might not be ready for it today, but I promise you will cross this bridge sooner or later so optin and download it for later if that indeed is the case. Be on the lookout for his new theme that is also coming out of beta very soon.

URGENT: Major PHPZon Wordpress Plugin Update

Wade Wells just sent out an email that there is a major update for phpZon Pro and it should be downloaded and installed as soon as possible. Per Wade, this update involves changes to the Amazon API that goes into effect on November 8th, 2010. This version of phpZon Pro complies with the new Product Advertising API version and also introduces new features (for the Wordpress version) such as caching data which is indeed a welcome feature. wade says he will be updating the API version of 1.x this evening and make a forum post when it's ready. Wade does a great job keeping all of these plugins up to date and if he says you need this, you need to heed his advice. His plugins are not free, but you get what you pay for along with great piece of mind.

He talks about how he started his own blog and also what he feels is the keys to its success and popularity. He also covers how he monetized it and created his great income. The video is 28 minutes long and moves along pretty quick. You may want to want to watch it twice as it is that good. Great tip he shares is write on your blog like no one is reading but you.

Google Adding More Ads To Top Of Search Results

Here is one for the Google haters as Barry Schwartz posted that Google is testing Adwords at the top of search result pages to show a total of up to 11 ads as you will see in his post. The extra 8 ads are shown when you expand the section and of course shifts down the free organic Google search results. I have not payed too much attention to this myself, but I can tell you that my organic search traffic is better than ever from Google right now. It also is due to the arrival of the early Christmas shoppers who are indeed already buying. Who knows when or if Google will implement this full time, but I would assume that they would wait until after the Holiday shopping season. We shall see. You can now put the tin foil flaps back over your eyes and ears. Happy Friday everyone. It has been a great week and going to be an even better weekend.

SEOLinkVine Members Now Get Free Spinner With Access

I just talked about SEO Link Vine yesterday and today they have announced that members get free access to their content spinner that has been finalized and added. I have been using the Best Spinner, but will indeed be working out the SEO Link Vine one on my nest submission going out on Sunday. I really like the Best Spinner and the price is just a drop in the bucket for me. If you are not a member of SEOLV, they are a great article syndication network that I have used for quite a while and love it. While article marketing is not the only way I use to build backlinks, it is indeed on e of the many ways I do so slowly over time as I mentioned yesterday. If you can afford it, you should be a member.

Learn To Slow Down

We all are crunched for time. Even me and I am full time in the niche site building business. It is very easy to get in a hurry and make mistakes. The same goes with the rush to build too many backlinks too fast. Now does that mean that something can't go viral? Absolutely not, but remember that something that does go viral will have certain characteristics. In other words, a site that gains all article backlinks or all social backlinks in one week or month will certainly set off alarms with Google. Things that go viral show up on Facebook, Twitter and so on and so on. Google knows this. The days of spamming the net quickly are nearly over for ranking purposes. Does this mean you should not spin articles and send them off to SEO Link Vine and other directories? No, of course not, but pick your spots. You have more than one site I hope, if not, you likely are not getting the monies worth out of SEOLV. Do not limit yourself to just one source of backlink either and do not get so caught up in building 400 backlinks in a month. The first 30 days should be spent making sure the site is getting indexed fine and is up to snuff quality wise if it is a product review type site. I no longer build a site and head straight to backlinks. Why? I have found I get the site seeded well in 6 months by taking my time in all facets of link building.

Slowing down also relates to the building of the site. I have a written flow chart I use on product review type sites that works for my style and time budget. It helps ensure I pay attention to the details of building the site the way I know works. I work 99% of the time with Wordpress, but as easy as a platform that it is, mistakes are easy to make. My dad always said growing up, do it right the first time so you don't have to go back and do it again. Check all your links and every page of the site to make sure everything is loading and nothing has been overlooked. There is no reason to be in a hurry now, make sure you do it right. Take your time.

Plenty Of Time To Still Vote

I wanted to give a PSA of sorts to remind everyone that is a registered voter in the United States of America, that there is still plenty of time for you to get out and vote. The media will tell you that this is a very important election, but in fact every election is important and you should vote in every one of them. Now is the time for us business owners to stand up and take back this fine country of ours. Business built this country and helped make it what it is today. The government and society as a whole seems to have forgotten that. If we continue down the path we are on, we are headed for a complete and total meltdown of Western civilization. Please get out and vote and let's change this today. Your vote is important.

Cutts Shooting Down Domain Age As Ranking Importance

I missed this video a few days ago and just got around to seeing it. In the video below, Matt Cutts all but shoots down domain age as a HUGE ranking factor in Google. This has been debated back and forth forever, but as Matt let slip, 6 months to 1 year is a great starting point to start targeting ranking good. Read between the lines. I have always targeted 6 months and my results go along with what he is saying. Interesting response nonetheless.
