If you are truly still freaked out about all of this and want to wait, at least do something productive like planning out your next site on paper as discussed in the N1Way BANS guide and get your content written. If you still have time, head over to Wordpress.tv and start brushing up on the Wordpress platform. It is not going anywhere anytime soon that I know of.
The one thing I blogged about a little while ago is that the life of an affiliate marketer is always changing. Platforms come and go, platforms get upgraded, new affiliate programs are launched daily and current affiliate programs will always change terms sooner or later. You have to be fluid.
In closing, if you are most comfortable using BANS, then use BANS. Should any problems arise, they will be temporary ones. Do not let someone else's game plan alter yours. If you do, you are in for a long, hard road in this business. Remember, be fluid.

why would they upgrade it? everything related to BANS is on flippa.com...
@Matt
I am afraid I do not understand the question. Did you miss the post about it being for sale? If the new owners do not upgrade the platform, it surely would be a bad decision in my opinion. BANS needs a major face lift to include many more affiliate programs other than EPN. To leave it an EPN only platform would severally limit it's marketability. Hope you are well.

@soggy
Well I hope they do to, however there are sooooo many options with wordpress (regarding affiliate stuff) that it's not that big of a deal for us. If you know how to build quality niche site adding affiliate "links" to those sites is a piece o' cake.
Anyway, your blog is rockin!
@Matt, I agree, but many new or inexperienced site builders can be easily intimidated by Wordpress or anything else for that matter. If BANS is upgraded and retains focus on the new or inexperienced site builder it will continue to survive. The easier it is for the end user, the better. It will never compete with Wordpress or should it.
Thanks for the good words.
Dave
